Most SMC tools draw forty boxes
and rank none of them.
Smart Market Structure Concepts marks up structure, order blocks, imbalance, liquidity and session context — then grades every zone it draws out of 100, keeps the ones that failed on the chart, and reads your open position back to you. One slider hides everything below the grade you care about.
Every zone is graded
A 0–100 confluence score from eight measured components. One slider filters the chart to only what clears your bar.
Failures stay visible
Broken zones are kept, faded, with an X on the bar that killed them. Scroll back and you see the losers, not just the winners.
It reads your trade
Structural invalidation, a target ladder built from liquidity, and a live exit-pressure score that always states its reasons.
Scroll back on most SMC tools and every zone worked
Because the failures were deleted. That is why buyers of such tools regularly — and correctly — call them repainting.
Invalidated zones stay on this chart. They are drawn washed out, they stop at the bar that killed them rather than running to the right edge, and they carry an X and a failed label.
The grade filter deliberately does not apply to failed zones. Filtering the historical record by quality would recreate exactly the bias this feature removes. A failed zone is a record of what happened, not a recommendation — so judge the tool on those, not on the survivors.
What it actually looks like
The default profile — AUDUSD M15
World clock, MTF dashboard, multi-symbol scanner, killzones and the control panel, in the light theme. This is the shipped ICT 2026 preset: deliberately minimal.
Graded zones, Blocks tab open
Order blocks, breakers and a failed unicorn, each carrying its grade. The MTF dashboard top right shows M15 internal structure disagreeing with its swing structure — a conflicted timeframe.
Analysis timeframe lock
The same H1 structure on an M15 chart (left) and an H1 chart (right). The H1 BOS and H1 order block are identical in both — nothing was re-analysed when the chart timeframe changed.
Fibonacci & the OTE band
Drawn from the model's own last impulse leg, so the retracement can never disagree with the structure beside it. The leg is dropped automatically once price retraces beyond 115% of it.
Killzones and daily range
The Asian range and London killzone boxed on US100 M15, each labelled with its own range in points, with the seven-zone world clock top left. Daylight saving is handled per zone, not by one fixed broker offset.
News calendar MT5
Seven USD releases in two clusters on USDJPY M30. Labels pack into rows so a cluster stays readable, and the blackout bands shade the minutes either side of each release.
Eight components, summing to exactly 100
Every zone the tool draws gets a confluence score. Nothing here is a hand-waved "strength" rating — each component measures something specific, and the weights are published.
| Component | Weight | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Pattern type | 18 |
A unicorn outranks a breaker outranks an order block outranks a raw gap |
| Displacement | 16 |
How violent the move away was, measured in ATR |
| Location | 14 |
Bullish zone in discount, bearish in premium |
| Freshness | 14 |
Untouched beats tapped beats mitigated |
| Volume | 12 |
Creation volume against this symbol's own baseline |
| Trend agreement | 12 |
Counter-trend zones score zero here, deliberately |
| Liquidity context | 8 |
Somewhere to go, and a raid just before it formed |
| Stacking | 6 |
Overlapping same-direction zones reinforce each other |
The grade cycler sits on the control panel. Step it to A and most zones disappear — that single control is the answer to chart clutter.
Six zone types, four states
| Tag | Zone | Formed by |
|---|---|---|
| OB | Order Block | Last opposing candle before the impulse that broke structure |
| MS | Momentum Shift | The same thing on internal structure |
| FVG | Fair Value Gap | Three-candle imbalance |
| iFVG | Inverted FVG | An FVG traded fully through — now works the other way |
| BRK | Breaker Block | An order block price broke — flips polarity |
| UNICORN | Unicorn | A breaker and an FVG occupying the same prices |
Fresh
Untouched. Drawn brightest.
Tapped
Price entered it but it held. Dimmer.
Mitigated
Reached the depth set by your mitigation rule. Dimmest.
Broken
Traded clean through. Moves to honest history.
Mitigated is not the same as broken. A mitigated zone did its job. A broken zone was wrong. Only the second invalidates a thesis, and the tool never conflates them.
It reads your open position back to you
Nothing appears until you have a position on the chart symbol. Then, within a second, it works out why the trade was valid and tells you what has changed since.
- OriginThe zone your entry came out of — same direction, active before your fill, containing your price. Where several qualify, the highest confluence score wins.
- Invalidation, not a pip stopA solid line beyond the far edge of that origin block. If no block is identifiable it falls back to the level whose break would flip structure against you. If invalidation is breached the verdict goes straight to EXIT NOW regardless of every other reading — a dead thesis is not a matter of degree.
- A target ladder built from liquidityT1, T2 and beyond, drawn from the nearest untaken pool, the dealing-range extreme, the ADR projection and the Fib projections — deduplicated and ordered by distance. Price goes where the orders are, not to an arbitrary reward multiple.
- Exit pressure, 0–100Eight weighted components, listed below. The verdict always states its reasons.
| What it watches | Weight |
|---|---|
| Structure turned against you after entry (CHoCH) | 22 |
| ADR exhausted — 80%+ of the day's average range spent | 16 |
| Price ran into an opposing higher-timeframe zone | 14 |
| First target reached | 14 |
| News release imminent or landing | 10 |
| An opposing fair value gap opened since entry | 10 |
| Trading session closing | 8 |
| Long in premium, or short in discount | 6 |
The full feature set
Market structure
BOS and CHoCH on swing structure, iBOS and iCHoCH on internal — drawn differently so you can tell them apart at a glance. Strong/weak labels mark the extremes that produced the last flip.
Inducement
A dashed IDM line marks the level that would print a CHoCH if it broke — where the stops are stacked, and the most common way a good entry gets taken out.
CISD
The open of the candle run that began delivery. Fires considerably earlier than waiting for the swing above to break.
Liquidity
BSL/SSL, equal highs and lows, previous day and week extremes. Equal-level tolerance is measured in ATR, so the same setting behaves sensibly on gold and EURUSD without re-tuning.
Swept vs broken
A level wicked through that closes back inside was raided. A level closed clean through is simply gone. Only the raid gets the X and the word swept — tools that collapse both into "taken" throw away the more tradeable one.
Premium & discount
The dealing range split around equilibrium. The confluence scorer prices this in directly — a bullish zone deep in discount earns the full 14 location points.
Higher timeframe
The complete detection stack runs a second time on a higher timeframe and draws onto your chart, framed and labelled with its source. Automatic stepping skips the near-useless one-step-up.
MTF dashboard
Four timeframes with swing bias, internal bias, last event and best grade. Row colour encodes agreement, not direction — a conflicted timeframe dims regardless of which way it points.
Timeframe lock
Lock detection to one timeframe regardless of what the chart shows. Set M15, drop to M1, and the M15 structure stays exactly as it was.
Fibonacci & OTE
Drawn from the model's own impulse leg, with the OTE band shaded between 62% and 79%. The leg is dropped once price retraces beyond 115% of it.
Candle Range Theory
The three-candle model: C1 sets a range, C2 sweeps and closes back inside, C3 delivers. A candle closing beyond the edge is rejected — it broke the level rather than raiding it.
Sessions & killzones
Asia, London, NY AM, NY PM and London Close, each boxed with high and low extended. Each zone gets its own DST rule, because a single fixed broker offset is wrong for several weeks a year.
ADR & opening levels
Projected high and low, plus NY midnight open, NDOG and NWOG. ADR-used is the exhaustion figure the exit engine weights heavily.
SMT divergence
Compares your chart against up to three correlated symbols. If a name doesn't exist on your broker it says so on the chart rather than silently drawing nothing.
Setup models
Unicorn, 2022 Model and Silver Bullet — one alert when several things line up in the right order, not a stream of per-feature noise.
Multi-symbol scanner
Bias, last event, best grade, and whether price is inside a graded zone right now. A row goes bright only in that last case — the one state worth switching charts for.
Statistics
Measured behaviour on this symbol and timeframe, with every rate carrying its sample size. Rows below n=20 are dimmed.
Alerts
Popup, sound, mobile push and email. Every alert carries a key built from what identifies the event, so the same event can never fire twice.
Rates that carry their sample size
How often each kind of block produced a reaction, FVG fill rate, what share of taken liquidity was a raid rather than a clean break, CRT target rate, and average session ranges — measured on this symbol and timeframe.
"Reacted", not "held"
From the bar price first entered the zone, did it travel a full ATR in the zone's direction before closing through the far side? Counting a zone as successful only if it was never broken sounds stricter, but nearly every level breaks eventually. A block that held for fifty bars, gave a textbook trade, then broke a week later is not a failure.
Only tested cases count
A zone price never reached tells you nothing, so untouched zones are excluded from the denominator entirely. Including them would inflate every figure toward 100% simply because most zones are never visited.
Rows below n=20 are dimmed. "OB held 100%" from three observations reads as authoritative and is worse than no number at all.
Five minutes to understanding it
The shipped defaults are already a working ICT setup. If you want to understand what you're looking at fastest, do these five things in order.
- Attach it and leave the settings aloneThe defaults are the ICT 2026 profile — deliberately minimal.
- Click through the control panel tabsAlong the bottom of the chart. Every toggle takes effect instantly, because detection always runs at full scope and the panel only filters what gets drawn.
- Cycle the grade filter to ABottom right of the panel, reads
Gr B. Watch most zones disappear. That single control is the answer to chart clutter. - Scroll back a few hundred barsThe washed-out boxes with an X through them are zones that failed. Judge the tool on those, not on the survivors.
- Open a small demo tradeThe exit engine appears within a second: entry, structural invalidation, a target ladder and a verdict panel.
Both platforms, four honest differences
The MT4 build carries the same engine and the same visual language. Four differences are forced by the platform, not by us.
| Feature | MT5 | MT4 |
|---|---|---|
| News calendar & blackout | Full | Not available — MT4 has no calendar API |
| Exit engine | Reads positions | Reads orders; a hedged pair shows as two entries rather than one net position |
| Templates | Portable | Don't travel between platforms — MT4 and MT5 number timeframes differently |
| Tick volume | Per-symbol | Broker-dependent, so volume scoring may weight differently |
Everything else — structure, zones, grading, honest history, liquidity, HTF, sessions, ADR, CRT, SMT, Fib/OTE, setup models, statistics, scanner, the control panel, templates and alerts — behaves identically. Six profiles ship inside each platform folder, already correct for that platform.
One licence, both platforms
MT5 indicator
Installs by merging one folder into your MQL5 directory. Nothing to place by hand, nothing of yours overwritten.
MT4 indicator
The same engine, same visual language, with the profiles already renumbered for MQL4.
Twelve profiles
Six presets per platform — ICT 2026, Full, Scalper, Swing, Clean and CRT Model — plus six panel templates you can save, load and email to another licensed user.
181 documented inputs
Across 29 groups. Every one has a description in the dialog.
Full user guide
The complete manual this page was written from — every feature, every setting group, and a troubleshooting section.
Unlimited terminals
No licence key, no activation, no terminal limit. Install it on as many terminals, accounts and machines as you personally use.
Licence, in plain terms. Install it anywhere you personally trade. You may not resell, redistribute, decompile or bundle it. Sharing .set and template files with other licensed users is fine; sharing the indicator files is not.
8–17ms for a full recalculation
Structure, zones, liquidity, scoring, HTF, sessions, CRT and setups across 2,000 bars, measured on XAUUSD at every timeframe. It runs once per new bar, not per tick. Between bars only the clock, the candle countdown and the exit verdict update, on a one-second timer.
The scanner adds one symbol per second regardless of list length, so a twelve-symbol watchlist costs a few milliseconds per second rather than stalling every bar. You can measure it yourself — switch on diagnostics logging and read the benchmark lines in the Experts tab.
Before you buy
Does it repaint?
No — and it goes further than most tools by keeping the evidence. Zones that broke stay on the chart, faded, stopping at the bar that killed them, with an X and a failed label.
The usual repainting complaint about SMC tools is that they delete failed zones, so scrolling back makes every level look like it worked. This one keeps them deliberately, and the grade filter does not apply to them.
Will it tell me when to enter a trade?
No. It marks up price action and reports what it measures. It does not predict price, and it never places, modifies or closes an order. Every decision stays yours.
Is it one purchase for both MT4 and MT5?
Yes. The download contains both builds, each with its own six profiles already correct for that platform. There is no separate MT4 licence.
Is there a licence key or activation?
None. No key, no activation, no terminal limit, and nothing phones home. It uses no DLLs and makes no web requests — you can leave both of those permissions switched off in MetaTrader.
Will forty boxes clutter my chart?
That's the specific problem the grading system solves. Every zone carries a 0–100 score, and one cycler on the control panel filters the chart to only what clears your threshold. Step it to A and most zones disappear.
Does it work on my broker's symbols?
Structure, zones and sessions work on anything your terminal quotes. For SMT divergence and the scanner you type symbol names yourself, because brokers name the same instrument differently — NAS100, USTEC, US100 and NDX are all the same thing. If a name doesn't exist on your broker, the indicator says so on the chart rather than silently drawing nothing.
Will it slow my terminal down?
A full recalculation over 2,000 bars measures 8–17ms on XAUUSD, and runs once per new bar rather than per tick. If your terminal does feel slow, reducing the history window from 2000 to 1000 is by far the biggest lever.
Can I use it with my EA?
Yes — it's an indicator, so your EA slot stays free. The exit engine has a magic-number filter so it can track a specific EA's positions, or leave it at 0 to track everything on the chart symbol.
Nothing is drawing on my chart.
Check the minimum confluence grade first. At "A+ only" a quiet chart legitimately shows nothing — cycle it down using the panel. That's the most common cause by a distance.
Can I keep my own chart colours?
Yes. Theme application is a toggle, and your original scheme is restored when the indicator is removed. Switch it off to keep your own from the start.
Judge it on the zones that failed.
They're still on the chart, faded and marked. That's the whole argument — every other feature follows from it.
