What volume profile shows you
Four building blocks do most of the work — where volume actually concentrated, and where it didn't.
POC
The price with the most traded volume — the market's fair value for the period, and a natural magnet for price.
VAH / VAL
Where 70% of volume traded (adjustable). Inside means balance and rotation; outside means price discovery.
HVN
Acceptance zones the market keeps returning to — they often act as support and resistance.
LVN
Thin "air pockets" between nodes that price tends to move through quickly rather than settle in.
Everything in one indicator
Eleven capabilities on a single canvas. Every screenshot is the indicator running live on real charts.
Daily, weekly and session profiles
- Daily (Sunday bars can be merged into Monday), weekly, or any custom session in broker hours.
- The developing profile updates live, and up to 30 completed profiles are kept on the chart.
- The latest profile always sits in the right-hand column, so weekends and out-of-session hours still show the levels that matter.
Accurate, timeframe-independent calculation
- Built from M1 data by default, so the POC and Value Area are identical on M1, M15 or H4.
- Each bar's volume is spread across its full high-low range instead of being dumped on one price.
- Choose a fixed number of rows (default 100) or a fixed row height in points. Value Area % is adjustable.
- Tick volume by default, real exchange volume where your broker provides it.
HVN & LVN detection
- HVNs are the real peaks of the profile; LVNs are the valleys between two peaks — not the thin tails at the extremes.
- Adjustable smoothing, sensitivity and maximum number of zones; shown as shaded zones with labels.
- Optional session lock: Value Area and nodes update only at the Asian, London and New York opens, rebuilt from history so every chart shows the same levels.
Prior levels & naked POCs
- The previous period's POC, VAH and VAL extend into the current period (pPOC / pVAH / pVAL).
- Naked (untested) POCs stay on the chart until price trades through them, over a configurable lookback.
- The developing POC path shows how fair value migrated during the session.
Fixed range / anchored profile
- Drag two vertical lines around any swing, range or news event; the profile recalculates as you let go.
- Drag the right line past the last candle to anchor the range to "now" and keep it updating live.
- Its POC / VAH / VAL can be extended to the right as reference levels.
Visible range profile
- A profile of everything on screen that recalculates after every scroll or zoom.
- Dock it on the left or the right of the chart.
Higher-timeframe composite
- The current week's profile sits faintly behind a daily or session profile — or the month behind a weekly profile.
- Its POC and Value Area are marked, so higher-timeframe context is always in view.
Anchored VWAP with bands
- VWAP anchored to each period, with up to two standard-deviation bands.
- The dashboard shows how many standard deviations price is from VWAP.
Smart dashboard
- POC with change vs the prior POC, plus VAH, VAL, VA width, range and VWAP.
- Market state: price above / in / below value, today's open vs the prior Value Area, and profile shape (P / D / b).
- Nearest HVN and LVN, open naked POCs, and volume statistics.
- One-click toggle chips — FIXED · VISIBLE · WEEK/MONTH · VWAP. Collapsible, snaps to any corner, and remembers your choices across timeframe changes and restarts.
Alerts
- Fire when price crosses the prior VAH / VAL, the prior POC or VWAP, or when a naked POC gets tested.
- Popup, sound and mobile push notifications, with a cooldown so you are not spammed.

How traders use it

Value Area rotation
In balanced markets, watch reactions at the VAH and VAL, with the POC acting as the magnet in between.
Acceptance vs rejection
A break and hold outside value suggests a trend day; a failed break back into value favours rotation.
Unfinished business
Naked POCs and prior-period levels can act as targets and reaction zones the market has yet to revisit.
Use volume profile as context and confluence with your own strategy, never on its own.
