Two pairs. One day. No exceptions.
Geppy Monday Momentum trades GBPJPY and GBPCHF, and only on Mondays. No martingale, no grid, no scaling — every position it opens carries a defined stop loss and take profit from the moment it fills. Narrow by design: fewer trades, fewer places for something to go wrong.
See the whole picture, not a highlight reel
The chart below joins two things end to end: the full 2026 backtest of the strategy (from January, on a $100k account at a fixed 10 lots) running up to the point real tracking began, and then the actual live account from 27 July onward — the same account published on the Strategy Ledger.
We show both honestly. The backtest is a strong, steady climb. The live window so far has been roughly breakeven — a normal run of results where a couple of wide fixed-lot stops offset the winners. That's exactly why we put the tested history and the live results side by side: so you can judge the strategy on how it's built and how it behaves over time, not on a single good or bad stretch. Explore it by symbol, and scale the size to see how the same trades play out at your lot size.
// MT5 Strategy Tester · Jan–Sep 2026 · $100k · 10 lots · hypothetical
Baseline is the real 10-lot size (1×). The sliders scale each pair from 0.01× (0.1 lots) to 100× (1,000 lots): whenever either is not 1× the view is hypothetical and simulated — it linearly rescales the real trades and cannot model margin, spread, or the risk of a stop-out, so treat large multipliers as illustrative only. The backtest line is a MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester result (hypothetical); the live line is a real demo account. Sharpe is annualised from daily P&L and, on a short live sample, is indicative only.

Fixed 10-lot sizing keeps every position the same size, so a wider stop distance produces a larger dollar result on that trade — up or down. If you prefer the dollar risk held constant instead, the EA's inputs include a risk % per trade mode that shrinks position size as the stop widens. The Starter Pack account runs constant 10 lots for consistency.
What "Monday-only" actually means
Two pairs
GBPJPY and GBPCHF. Each is evaluated independently — no correlation logic ties the two together.
Single day
Entries are evaluated only on Monday sessions. If Monday doesn't produce a qualifying setup, the EA sits idle until next week.
Defined risk per trade
Every logged trade carried an explicit stop loss and take profit set at entry — not a mental stop, not "monitor manually."
Constant lot or risk %
Choose fixed lot sizing (the log above uses 10 lots) or risk a set percentage of account equity per trade instead, configurable in the inputs.
Broker symbol override
If your broker quotes these pairs under a different name — GBPCHFi, i_GBPCHF, GBPCHF.m — enter the exact symbol your broker uses in the inputs.
Configurable filling mode
Order filling policy (Fill or Kill, Immediate or Cancel, Return) is a setting, not hardcoded — set whichever your broker supports.
No martingale
Losing does not increase the next position size. Each trade is sized independently of the last result.
No grid
It does not average into a losing position with additional orders. One entry, one exit, per trade.
Intraday hold
Every logged trade closed within a day or so of opening — durations from about 7.6 to 21.2 hours, not multi-day swings.
Getting it running
- Attach to a GBPJPY and/or GBPCHF chartIt acts only on whichever of these two pairs it's attached to — attach it to both charts to trade both, or just one.
- Check your broker's exact symbol namesIf your broker adds a suffix or prefix — GBPCHFi, i_GBPCHF, GBPCHF.m — enter the exact symbol name in the inputs. It won't find the pair if the name doesn't match.
- Set your filling modeChoose the order filling policy your broker supports (Fill or Kill, Immediate or Cancel, or Return). The wrong setting is a common reason an EA fails to open or close orders.
- Choose lot sizing modeConstant lot size (the log uses 10 lots) or risk % per trade. Risk % scales the position to your account automatically as stop distance changes; constant lot does not.
- Use a low-spread brokerThis strategy is sensitive to spread. Wide or inconsistent spreads on GBPJPY or GBPCHF can cause missed entries, stops or targets — check typical spreads before going live.
- Leave it runningIt evaluates conditions on Mondays and stays inactive the rest of the week. No supervision needed between sessions.
- Check in weeklyBecause it acts once a week, review results after each Monday session rather than watching daily.
The Starter Pack rotation
Geppy Monday is one of the highest-rated EAs currently in the Starter Pack.
If you want the full rotation rather than this strategy alone, the Starter Pack bundles it with the rest of the current lineup at one price — reviewed and updated weekly.
Before you buy
Why does it only trade one day a week?
Because that's when the setup it looks for occurs. Trading Kernel built this around Monday-specific price behaviour in GBPJPY and GBPCHF rather than forcing a pattern to trade every day. Fewer trades, but each is evaluated against the same specific conditions.
What's the difference between the backtest and the live results?
The backtest is a MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester run over all of 2026 on a $100k account at 10 lots — a hypothetical simulation of how the rules would have traded. The live results are a real demo account tracked from 27 July onward. The dashboard joins them so you can see the tested history and the real results together. The backtest shows a steady climb; the live window so far is roughly breakeven. Both are shown as-is.
The live account is about breakeven so far — why?
A short run of ordinary results. At a fixed 10 lots, a couple of trades that ran to their stop produced larger dollar losses that offset the winners over this particular window. Nothing broke — every trade closed at its predefined stop or target. Over a longer horizon the backtest shows the intended behaviour; a nine-week live sample is simply too short to conclude much from on its own, which is why we show the fuller picture.
Does GBPCHF trade the same way as GBPJPY?
Yes — same Monday-only logic, same defined stop loss and take profit, applied independently to each pair. You can view each pair on its own in the dashboard above.
Does it use martingale or a grid?
No. Each trade is a single entry with its own stop loss and take profit, independent of the previous trade's outcome. No averaging, no scaled recovery, no lot-multiplication after a loss.
What lot size should I use?
Two options in the inputs. Constant lot size is what the log uses — fixed at 10 lots. Risk % per trade instead sizes each position from your account equity and the stop distance, so a wider stop results in a smaller position rather than the same fixed size. Risk % is the more forgiving default for most accounts.
My broker uses a different symbol name — will this still work?
Yes, but tell it what your broker calls the pair. Many brokers append or prepend characters — GBPCHFi, i_GBPCHF, GBPCHF.m are common. Enter your broker's exact symbol name in the inputs; it won't auto-detect this.
Does my broker's spread matter?
More than usual for this strategy. Wide or inconsistent spreads on GBPJPY or GBPCHF can cause the EA to miss the levels it's trading at. Confirm reasonably tight, consistent spreads on these two pairs before running live.
Who built this?
Trading Kernel developed Geppy Monday in-house — unlike some other products in our library, this is not a third-party strategy we've licensed to resell.
Tested history and live results — both on the table.
No cherry-picked highlight reel: the full 2026 backtest flowing into the real account behind the Strategy Ledger, wins and losses alike.
